Dear Vietnam Solders,

Even those who were opposed to the Vietnam War cannot deny your efforts to serve your country. You marched through Vietnam jungle under constant threat from the Vietcong. You’ve seen people guy at your hand and in your hands. You have gone to hell and back to stop the spread of communism.

You have died in battle in service to your country. You have been attacked by the Viet Cong with their carefully constructed booby-traps and surprise attacks. You have succumbed to the disease half a world away from home. Few have died inside when returning home. And because of all this you will be remembered.
